Surendra Nath Kulshreshtha

Dr. Surendra Kulshreshtha is a professor agricultural economics at the University of Saskatchewan. The research and expertise of professor Kulshreshtha focus on issues related to current and past factors affecting economics of agriculture. In particular, his interests include rural development, environmental economics related to agriculture, climate change, drought impact analysis, and agricultural policy. His interest also extend to water table management, irrigation and its role as a drought mitigation strategy. In addition, Dr. Kulshreshtha has co-edited several books on topics related to water, climate change and sustainability. He has been a Visiting Scientist at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, as well has participated in several oversees projects in Indonesia, Zambia and India through the Canadian International Development Agency.
