Dr. Archer is a Professor Emeritus in the Information Systems Area of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. Although retired, he continues to be active in research, publication, and PhD and MSc student supervision in eHealth, social media, and eCommerce. He has supervised more than 100 PhD and Master’s student theses and scholarly papers, and currently teaches graduate courses in eHealth. He has authored and co-authored many articles in refereed journals, and presented papers at multiple conferences. He also has an active leadership role in two funded research projects: the study of eHealth adoption issues in low resource countries, and online health self-management for outpatients with peripheral arterial disease.
