Rosa María García-Gimeno

Prof. Dr. García-Gimeno, has a broad background in the predictive microbiology field by studying pathogens behaviour in different food matrices (leafy green salads and cooked meat products). She is a lecturer specialised in food safety and food hygiene. She has directed or taken part in 13 projects, some of the international such as FLAIR, SCOOP, FAIR and COST and share cost European projects and has more than 80 scientific papers published on high-impact citation journals. The investigation involved the microbial behaviour in food and development of mathematical models, with different approaches as those based in artificial network, validations in food matrices and risk assessments of foodborne pathogens.
