Professor Erhabor Osaro is a Chartered Scientist (CSci), Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science (FIBMS) of London and the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (FMLSCN). He holds a doctor of philosophy degree in Immunohaematology from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria. He completed the University of Greenwich (UK) Specialist Courses in Blood Transfusion and Laboratory Quality Management System. He also holds the British Blood Transfusion Society (BBTS) Specialist Certificate in Blood Transfusion Science Practice. He is an Alumni of Francis Turtle College of Technology in Oklahoma U.S.A. His teaching experience spans both Nigeria and the United Kingdom. His work experience includes working as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist at the RBH-a continuous quality improvement conscious and a centre of excellence in the implementation of lean principles in the health sector in Europe. He is an active member of several professional and scientific societies; British Blood Transfusion Society (BBTS), the International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Science (IFBLS), African Society of Laboratory Medicine (ASLM), Institute of Biomedical Science UK (IBMS), European Haematology Association (EHA), Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) and the International Society of Laboratory Haematology (ISLH). He is the recipient of several awards, including the famous British Blood Transfusion Society Young Scientist Award and the Margaret Kenwright Young Scientist Award. He is a Registration and Specialist Portfolio Verifier/Examiner for the Institute of Biomedical Science of London. He is a member of the editorial board as well as an article reviewer for several local and international peer-reviewed scientific journals. A well-published contributor in the fields of Infectious Diseases, Immunohaematology and Transfusion Medicine. He is the author of 5 scientific books and several chapters.
