Dr. Trajkovska Petkoska holds Ph.D. from the University of Rochester, Chemical Engineering Department, Rochester, NY (USA), and an MSc from University Sts Cyril and Methodius, Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, Skopje (R. N. Macedonia). She is a Full Professor at University St. Kliment Ohridski-Bitola (R.N. Macedonia) and has been actively involved in the development of numerous novel products, proprietary material formulations, and cutting-edge technologies. Examples include but are not limited to a variety of micro- and nano- (polymer) composites, food contact materials, antimicrobial formulations, multi-functional thin films and coatings for customized applications, energy efficiency and utilization of renewable energy sources, etc. Her interests also include sustainable food systems, healthy diets, global syndemic problems, and circular economy or so. In addition, Dr. Trajkovska Petkoska is also a scientific and technical consultant as well as a collaborator of SMEs in the field of materials science and engineering, novel technologies, and sustainability challenges. Her 20+ years of experience involves working in academia, industrial and military institutions. Dr. Trajkovska Petkoska participated in different project programs starting from TEMPUS, EU FP7, Horizon 2020, CEEPUS, and COST Action. She is an evaluator for EU programs, a peer-reviewer of many scientific journals published by Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, Taylor&Francis, MDPI, and Hindawi; editor of a few Frontiers journals. She is the author and co-author of numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles, three books, ten book chapters, and training materials/courses and has been granted three US patents. For her work, she has been awarded with prestigious recognitions and awards.
