Lap Yan Wong
Dr. Lap Yan Wong is the Chief Scientific Officer of ALOM Intelligence Limited that offers Deep Learning Technology and analytical solutions relating to healthcare and financial data. Dr. Wong is a Chartered Biologist and Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and a Chartered Scientist of the Science Council of the UK. Dr. Wong has over 20 years of work experience with various highly respectable biotech and pharmaceutical companies, and academia, including conducting antibody cancer research in translational oncology at Genentech Inc., research in pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism at Amgen Inc. in the US. His research work has contributed to the discovery, R&D of cancer target therapy drugs, including Bevacizumab and Vemurafenib, which are medication used to treat different types of cancers and specific eye diseases. Dr. Wong earned his BS in Human Biology, PhD in Biological Sciences and postdoc fellowship in Cancer Biology from the University of Toronto and The University of Hong Kong.
