Kamila Cabral Mielke is an agronomic engineer who graduated from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rondônia, Brazil, in 2016. She obtained a master’s degree in Tropical Agriculture from the Federal University of Espírito Santo, Brazil, and a Ph.D. in Crop Science from the Federal University of Viçosa, Brazil. She is currently a member of the Integrated Weed Management (IPM) research group where she studies the behavior and fate of herbicides in the environment, their impact on soil microbiological activity, and remediation of environments contaminated with herbicides using phytoremediation and carbonaceous materials such as biochar and bonechar.
