I have got Permanent License of medicine in 1990, Board Certification of Cardiology in 1995 and the Fellowship in Advanced Echocardiography in 2003, Accreditation in Adult Echocardiography [European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC), European Association of Echocardiography] in 2005. I worked as a general Cardiologist in Tehran University of Medical Sciences (Feb 1996- May 1997), Ilam University of Medical Sciences (Jun 1997- Sep 2001) and as an Echocardiologist in Shaheed Rajaei Cardiovascular Medical and Research Center from 2003 to present. I have been a member of Iranian Medical Association since 1990. Now I am working as a full time member of the Echocardiography Department of Shaheed Rajaei Cardiovascular Medical and Research Center. During these times some of my main duties in educational, research and management aspects included to the following: In the educational field 1) teach the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disease to undergraduate medical students (in each term), the basic principle of echocardiography to graduate medical students (each week), the advance echocardiography to postgraduate fellows daily, 2) prepare, administer and grade examinations and reports of both graduate and postgraduate medical students and fellows (including Echocardiography, Heart Failure, Adult congenital Heart Disease and Cardiac Anesthesia fellows) 3) advise both graduate and postgraduate medical students and fellows on course and academic matters and career decisions, 4) participate in morning report (once a week), 5) present journal club and a echo lecture (every month). As a main member of Echocardiography Research Center 1) conduct echocardiography research and sessions in echocardiography department, 2) supervise graduate medical students on research projects and thesis, postgraduate fellows on research programs. I published my research findings, more than 52 articles in many national and international medical journals [IHJ, Eu J Echocardiography, J Am Soc Echocardiogr, JTHC, ICRJ, JCTS, Congenital Heart Disease, Peptides, The Cardiology, Long-term Healthcare, Touch Briefings, Am Heart Hosp J, PACE, Europace, Can J Cardiol, Pacing Clin Electrophysiol] and present more than 38 abstracts and lectures in national and international cardiology congresses along with participating in many teaching courses in the field of Cardiology, Echocardiography and Cardiac MR. I have also many advocatory roles towards inpatients and outpatients care, such as 1) visit hospitalized patients in cardiac wards, ICU, CCU, 2) visit outpatients in cardiac clinic every week, 3) perform many kinds of echocardiography examinations including transthoracic, transesophageal echocardiography both on inpatients (including operating theater and cardiac catheterization laboratory) and outpatients basis, stress echocardiography (exercise and pharmacologic), tissue Doppler and strain rate imaging (TDI and SRI) and tissue synchronization imaging( TSI) as a daily work practice.
