Masao Yano
Dr. Masao Yano was born in Tottori, Japan, on February 10, 1940. He received the B.S. degree from the University of Tokyo, Japan, the M.S. degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Tokyo, Japan, in 1962, 1973, and 1984, respectively, all in electrical engineering. In 1962, he joined the Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. In 1998, he moved to Toyo University, Japan, and he is a professor of the Faculty of Engineering there. Dr. Yano is a Life Fellow of IEEE, and a Fellow of IEEJ.
