A native of Brazil, Marcos Paulo Valadares de Oliveira holds a PhD and MsC in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Marcos worked as an Information Technology Manager for almost 15 years when he had a chance to participate in several projects. Now he is a Professor at Universidade Federal do EspÃrito Santo in Brazil and holds a Project Manager position at NIPE-Log/UFMG (Interdisciplinary Center for Logistics Research at UFMG). Marcos has taught Logistics and Supply Chain Management courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in Brazil. The list of Business School where he teaches includes FundaÃ§Ã£o Dom Cabral, Centro UniversitÃ¡rio UNA and Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Marcos has published in several local and international books, periodicals and congresses like Decision Support Systems, Business Process Management Journal, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, IPSERA, EUROMA, POMS. His current research interests include the supply chain maturity models, supply chain risk management, logistical performance and business process management.
