Dr. Ravi Kumar Kanaparthi born in Yalavarru, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh in India. He received BSc (2003) from Acharya Nagarjuna University and M.Sc. (Chemistry, 2005) from the University of Hyderabad. He was awarded a Ph.D. (Photophysics of fluorescent Nanomaterials, 2011) under the supervision of Prof. Anunay Samanata from the University of Hyderabad. Subsequently, he joined in CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, India as a Post-Doctoral Fellow and worked for two years. Then, he joined the Department of Chemistry, the Central University of Kerala as Assistant Professor in September 2013. He received Medal from the University of Hyderabad, CSIR- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF), and DST-Young Scientist award in 2013. He has published over twenty international/ national research articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research findings in various national and international conferences. His main research focuses on the photophysics of fluorescent nanomaterials, materials synthesis for harvesting solar energy, photovoltaic & optoelectronic device fabrication. He is an expert in studying the ultrafast dynamics by steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence techniques, fabrication of DSSCs, synthesis of organic and metal nanoparticles, optical & electron microscopy techniques.
