Carlos Alberto Cuellar Ramos

Dr. Carlos Cuellar is a researcher at the School of Sport Sciences, Anáhuac University, México. He received his Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies, Mexico City. As a research fellow at the Neurological Surgery and Neurology Departments at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, USA, Dr. Cuellar studied neuromodulation strategies aimed at restoring motor function after spinal cord injury in animal models. His scientific publications include classic electrophysiological techniques and novel approaches to understanding the physiological mechanisms of sensory and motor integration in the spinal cord. His research interests also cover neurodegeneration and plastic changes after an insult to the peripheral and central nervous system.
