Laura Teresa Hernández-Salazar

Dra. Laura has an academic background that comprises a Master's and, Ph.D. in Neuroethology. She is a full-time professor at the Institute of Neuroethology, Universidad Veracruzana. Her research focuses on animal communication, use of senses, feeding behavior, and Nutritional Ecophysiology. She belongs to the Mexican National System of Researchers (SNI-CONACyT, Level 2). She has published about 40 research papers in indexed national and international journals with more than 600 citations; 6 book chapters in editorial groups of international prestige. She has participated in several conferences, with at least 70 research presentations in specialized scientific forums. She has been a reviewer for indexed international editorial groups as ELSEVIER, SPRINGER, PloSOne in Neuroethology areas. She is an active member of International Scientific Associations such as the International Society for Neuroethology, International Society of Primatology, and Mexican Society of Physiological Sciences.
