Dengwei Jing is currently a full-time Professor at the International Research Center for Renewable Energy & National Laboratory of Multiphase Flow in Power Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, which is one of the top universities in China, especially ranking first in the field of thermophysics and energy conversion. He obtained his PhD in thermal engineering from the same University in 2007. His research interests are multiphase flow modelling and measurement, solar energy conversion, hydrogen production, and advanced nanotechnologies for enhanced heat and mass transfer. He is now in charge of one project funded by National Key Research Program of China and has obtained the China National Fund for Excellent Young Scientists. He has also been awarded with Newton Advanced Fellowship from the Royal Society, UK. He has published more than 115 peer reviewed journal papers in journals including Nature Communications, Renewable Energy and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Applied Physics Letters, Physics Fluids, AIChE J., Energy, Solar Energy, Inter. J. Heat Mass Transfer, etc. He has been invited as plenary/keynote speaker in many renowned international conferences, including a 30 min plenary talk for SPIE Optics + Photonics 2015. He is now the Associate Editor for Journal of Applied & Computational Mechanics and serves as the Editorial Board Member for journals such as Heliyon (Elsevier), Fluids (MDPI), etc.
