Dr. M. Serajuddin is a Professor in the Department of Zoology, University of Lucknow and a fellow of Zoological Society of India and Academy of Environmental Biology. Several awards of National and International reputes such as Shishak Shree of U. P. Govt., Adarsh Vidya Saraswati Rashtriya Puraskar, Indo Global Excellence Award, Prof. Harswarup Gold Medal Award, Distinguished Faculty Award, and Life Time Achievement Award has been conferred on him. Dr. M. Serajuddin has completed his Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctorate Education from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and has been involved in research and teaching for over 25 years in fish biology and fish biodiversity. He has acted as the Principal Investigator of major research projects funded by DST, ICAR, UGC, and UPCST of Govt. of India. He has already supervised 15 students for the award of their Ph.D. degree in Zoology. He has to his credit, more than 75 original research papers in peer-reviewed journals of National and International repute. He has also edited 05 books bearing ISBN numbers. Besides attending several National and International Seminars and Conferences, he has delivered several plenary/invited talks and chaired various sessions.
