Hatam Naase

Dr. Naase is a senior cardiothoracic fellow who has worked in different cardiothoracic centres in the UK and abroad; He has developed a specialist interest in thoracic surgery. Additionally, he has been actively involved in the academic research programs, and has completed Diploma and Master degrees in Surgical Science where he learned the principles of research methodology. He has been granted funding for higher degree and conducted basic science research project investigating the systemic inflammatory response, which led to PhD degree. He has regularly been involved in clinical trials, and is currently an investigator in multiple randomised controlled trials in thoracic surgery (LIBERATE, TRANSFORM and VIOLET trials). He has wide experience in minimal invasive thoracic surgical procedure, and has developed special interest in uniportal VATS lung resection approach and currently aiming to achieve further training in lung sleeve resection through this approach.
