Dr. Aftab Sadiq is a Professor of Civil Engineering at University of Wah, Pakistan. He received BSc (Civil Engg) from Military College of Engineering, Risalpur, Pakistan in 1981, and MS and PhD degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, USA in 1992 and 1994. His field of specialization is “Open Channel Flows” and his research work is focused on “Clear Water Scour around Bridge Abutments in Compound Channels”. He has also served on the faculty of National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan, and Air University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has taught courses in fluid mechanics, open channel flows, hydraulic engineering and water resources engineering. Professor Aftab Sadiq has served on “Governmental Review Boards” and as a consultant to various civil engineering design, consultancy and project implementation organizations. As an engineer he has worked on various civil engineering projects related to water resources, water flows, water supply, drainage, dams, groundwater, pumping, etc. He lives with his wife, daughter and three sons in Islamabad, Pakistan.
