Shafizan Mohamed
Shafizan Mohamed is an associate professor in the Communications Department at the International Islamic University of Malaysia. She holds a PhD in media studies from Monash University, Australia. She is the author, co-author, and editor of several books, journal articles, monographs, and newspaper articles on media and communication. Her research covers the fields of new media theory, political communication, health communication, and digital media literacy. Her recent research projects, based on her Malaysian experience, have examined the digital media skills of parents and underprivileged children and the communication of health issues in mainstream and social media. Aside from teaching and research, Dr. Mohamed loves food, music, and interior design.
