Ilknur Babahan
ILKNUR BABAHAN, Ph.D. She received a Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry from Ege University, Izmir, Turkey in 2005. Since 2005, She has been with the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Adnan Menderes University (Aydin, Turkey), where she is currently an Associate Professor. She went on to do postdoctoral work at The University of Akron (Akron, OH, USA) in 2012 and at Morgan State University (Baltimore, MD, USA) in 2015. She also worked at the Department of Polymer Engineering in The University of Akron (Akron, OH, USA) between 2017-2019 as a Visiting Scientist. Her main areas of research interest are Organic Synthesis, Organometallic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, and Polymer/Material Chemistry. Her current research interests include 'Synthetic Organic Chemistry; design and synthesis of novel compounds from natural products which may be used as 'smart medicine” in cancer therapy” and 'Bio-based organic coatings (Alkyd/Epoxides/Acylates/Urethanes)”.
