Cristina Cabanacan-Salibay is a biologist whose line of expertise is on the field of parasitology and health. She is presently a professor at the Biological Sciences Department and the Graduate School of College of Science and Computer Studies of De La Salle University-Dasmarinas, Dasmarinas City, Cavite Philippines. As a professor of Biology, she has taught subjects in Parasitology, Microbiology, Immunology and Cell and Molecular Biology. She has co-authored laboratory Manuals in Embryology, Introductory Biology and Fundamentals of Zoology which are presently used in the University level. She is currently preparing a laboratory manual in Medical Parasitology. Her research interests include parasites in the tropics focusing on zoonosis, microbial interactions with the environment and health economics. She is adept to the laboratory techniques on histopathologic evaluation of laboratory animals, and serologic and molecular techniques in detecting parasites. She has co-authored 6 laboratory manuals, 20 refereed articles published in Clariviate-indexed and Scopus-indexed journals and 12 refereed articles published in institutional professional journals.
