Maria Imaculada Zucchi

Maria Imaculada Zucchi is a Biologist (State University of Campinas, Brazil) and Doctor of Agronomy – Genetics and Plant Breeding (University of Sao Paulo, Brazil). She did Post-Doctoral Research at University of Sao Paulo and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA). She is currently a Research Scientist at the Sao Paulo Agency for Technology in Agrobusiness and Collaborator Professor at the graduate program in Genetics and Molecular Biology of State University of Campinas. Before this, she was a professor at the Agronomic Institute of Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil. She published more than 180 papers in specialized journals, as well as book chapters and other scientific communications. Her research interests are population genomics, genetic diversity, landscape genetics and computational biology applied to next generation sequencing (with studies essentially conducted with plants of economic and ecological importance).
