Heng-Chao Li received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 2001 and 2004, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree from the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2008, all in information and communication engineering. He is currently a Professor with the Sichuan Provincial Key Laboratory of Information Coding and Transmission, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China. From November 2013 to October 2014, he was a Visiting Scholar working with Prof. W. J. Emery at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Boulder, CO, USA. His research interests include statistical analysis of synthetic aperture radar images, remote sensing image processing, and signal processing in communications. Prof. Li received several scholarships or awards, especially including the Special Grade of the Financial Support from China Postdoctoral Science Foundation in 2009 and the New Century Excellent Talents in University from the Ministry of Education of China in 2011. In addition, he has also been a Reviewer for several international journals and conferences. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing.
