Dr. Paul Annus has been a teacher and entrepreneur since graduation in 1987. Last two decades are divided between engineering and project management in technology development center and research in Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), where he currently works as a senior researcher in Thomas Johann Seebeck Department of Electronics. He defended his doctoral thesis (Ph.D.) at the TalTech in 2010. Since then, he has been actively involved in the teaching and development of the curricula. Dr. Annus has been a supervisor for 5 successfully defended doctoral theses, and several master theses. He is a member of IEEE (I&M, SPS) since 2006 and a member of the program committee for several conferences and a reviewer for several journals. He is also a steering committee member of the local Baltic Electronics Conference. Dr. Annus has received the best paper award, outstanding reviewer award, and development project of the year award. His research interests include data acquisition, system identification, and more pointedly impedance measurement. The emphasis is on reliable, well scalable and optimally deployable solutions for health monitoring.
