Martin Nyaga

Dr. Nyaga is currently a Senior Lecturer/Researcher at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of the Free State, South Africa, where he also doubles as the Head of the Next-Generation Sequencing Unit. He is versed in whole genome sequencing characterization of enteric viruses including but not limited to rotavirus using high-throughput Next-Generation Sequencing techniques. Dr. Nyaga is a rated researcher in the Republic of South Africa and also a mentor to many emerging scientists in his field. He is a multiple grant and award winner with the latest being the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on Africa Enteric Virus Initiative, where he is the Principal Investigator. Dr. Nyaga enjoys both national and international collaborations from established experts in his field and this has really given significant scientific credence to his work.
