Pingping Liu

Pingping Liu has more than fifteen years of experience of university research and teaching at home and abroad. Dr. Liu received postdoctoral and doctoral degrees from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, China. He has studied at Osaka University and Hokkaido University in Japan three times during 2011/11 to 2014/4. He has proposed novel “nonlinear-method” for measuring the vacancy migration energy of a material, and developed a shape memory alloy product which has was successfully applied in cryogenic field. His main research interests are light metals, shape memory alloys, irradiation damage and microstructure of materials. He has published more than 50 papers in academic journal like Journal of nuclear materials et.al., and a chapter of the monograph 《Fusion Energy》. Currently, Pingping Liu is a full-time associate Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, Deputy Director of Material Research Institute (concurrent post) at the Beijing BeiYe Functional Materials Co. LTD, Deputy Director of USTB-BJHB Joint Laboratory for Beryllium and Advanced Materials of Fusion Reactors and Distinguished scholars of ITER China. He is also a Member of the Standing Committee of Nuclear Materials Experts of China National Think Tank for Materials and Device Scientists, and a Member of the organization committee of the 2nd National Light alloy Material Technology Forum.
