Dr. Anton V. Bourdine is an Engineer and a researcher in Multichannel Telecommunication Systems. He became an Engineer in Multichannel Telecommunication Systems, at the Povolzhskaya State Academy of Telecommunications and Informatics, Sanara, Russia, in 1999, and obtained his PhD in Technics, at the Povolzhskaya State Academy of Telecommunications and Informatics, Samara, in 2002. Dr. Bourdine became a Doctor of Technology at the Povolzhskiy State University of Telecommunications and Informatics, Samara, in 2008. He has been working as a Senior Lecturer from 2002-2008, and as an Assistant Professor from 2008-2014. Today, Dr. Bourdine works as an Assistant to the Rector for Innovation and as a Professor at the Department of Communication Lines, Povolzhskiy State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (PSUTI), Samara. His research interests include: Multi- and few-mode effects in optical fibers; laser-based high bit rate data transmission over multimode fibers; coaxial optical fibers with thin film nonlinear layers; hybrid and multi component optical fibers; mode switching; chromatic dispersion compensating by high order modes; differential mode delay compensation and suppression; modal noise; mode division multiplexing; multimode pump in fiber lasers and optical amplifiers; non-linear effects in multimode and low-mode fibers; polarization effects on high order modes; irregular fiber optic links operating in a few-mode regime.
