David Brock

David W. Brock, scientist in the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Electromagnetic Systems Technology Branch at SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific, received his PhD in Physics from the University of Texas at Austin in 1981, and his MS in Physics from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1975. He received BS degrees in Physics and Mathematics at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in 1972. Prior to joining SPAWAR Systems Center, Dr. Brock worked as a research assistant at the University of Texas (1977–1981) and the University of Colorado (1975). He has worked at SPAWAR Systems Center since 1981 initially in the High Power Microwave Tube Branch and later in the Microwave/Millimeter Wave Technology Branch. He has carried out research work in areas including high-power microwave tubes, the design and building of radar systems, microwave receivers, and antennas. Dr. Brock has published several technical articles, and has 17 patents issued or pending. He is a member of the National Academy of Inventors.
