Dr. Thembelihle Dlamini (IEEE member, Marie Curie Fellow) is with the University of Eswatini (UNESWA) as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics (BEng. Electr.), a Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), and a Ph.D. in Information Engineering (Specializing in ICT). He is also a certified Huawei ICT course instructor. He studied in the following institutions: the University of Eswatini, National Yang-Ming Chiao University, and the University of Padova. He was an early-stage researcher and participated in the European Horizon 2020 project SCAVENGE. Over the years he has accumulated a lot of experience in research and development (R&D), Testbed Design and Prototyping, Cellular Networks and Internet of Things, Energy Generation and Storage, Smart City, Public Protection and Disaster Relief in mobile space. He is an active participant in the national standards development committee, reviewer conferences and journals, and Internet forum committees. His research interests include the following: edge computing, virtualization, machine learning, and public safety.
