Ayobami Busari

Dr. (Mrs) Busari Ayobami Adebola is a senior lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering, Federal University, Nigeria. She is presently on a national assignment through the Technical Aid Corps (TAC) at Kabale University, Uganda. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. After graduating from the university, she worked with several civil engineering construction and consulting firms, where she participated in the design and construction of several notable infrastructures in Nigeria. She obtained a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering (Highway and Transportation Option from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria). Based on her quest and passion for knowledge, she pursued a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at Covenant University, Ogun State, Nigeria, under the supervision of Prof. Joseph Akinmusuru, a renowned pavement-engineering expert. She joined academia after seven years of professional practice. She has worked in institutions such as Covenant University, Federal University, Oye, Ekiti, and Osun State University, Osun State, Nigeria as a full lecturer and adjunct lecturer. In 2019, she won the prestigious Tshwane University, Pretoria, South Africa post-doctoral grant at the faculty of construction and built environment. Based on her contribution to pavement and transportation research she was awarded the CED outstanding professional woman in the built environment. In 2020, she received the Chancellor's outstanding researcher of the year award at Covenant University, Ota Ogun State Nigeria. She has also received a traveling grant for the WIT conference in Sienna, Italy, and other local traveling grants and has been called to the esteemed Nigeria Young Academy. Dr. (Mrs) Busari Ayobami Adebola is a sectional editor of the Annals of Science and Technology of NYA. She was also the sectional editor of FUOYEJET in 2021. She has contributed to over one hundred (100) scholarly articles and conference proceedings in reputable outlets mostly indexed in SCOPUS and Web of Science with citations. This is in her quest to contribute to knowledge. Her research focus is on pavement engineering, transportation engineering traffic engineering, concrete technology, etc. Some of her research has been funded by Tshwane University and Covenant University. She has also been a co-investigator on some major research initiatives. Dr. (Mrs) Busari Ayobami is the pioneer chair of the Association of Professional Engineering Women in Nigeria (Ota Chapter). She is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, (COREN). She is also a member of several engineering bodies such as the Association of professional engineers and geoscientists of Saskatchewan, Canada (APEGS), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the Association of Professional Engineering Women in Nigeria (APWEN).
