Manoj Garg

Dr. Manoj Garg is an Associate Professor and Ramalingaswami Fellow at Amity Institute of Molecular Medicine and Stem Cell Research (AIMMSCR), Amity University, Noida. Dr. Garg worked at National Institute of Immunology (NII, New Delhi) during his Ph.D. and received a Ph.D. degree from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur in 2009. During his Ph.D., Dr. Garg worked on the “Sperm Associated Antigen 9 (SPAG9) and established its role in several human malignancies. Also, He showed the association of HSP70-2 in human malignancies. His work leads to several manuscripts in well-reputed journals in the field of oncology such as Clinical Cancer Research, Cancer Research, Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Cancer, American Journal of Pathology, European Journal of Cancer. He received various National and International Awards including the Young Scientist Award during his Ph.D. Currently, SPAG9 is in phase 1 clinical trial at cancer institute (WIA). In 2010, he moved to Cancer Science Institute (CSI), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore as a Research Scientist and his main focus of research was Next Generation Sequencing (DNA, RNA sequencing and CHIP sequencing), drug Screening, shRNA screening, Xenograft and PDX to find out the novel abnormalities associated with various cancers. He published a various article from CSI, Singapore in well renowned scientific journal including, Nature Genetics, Blood, Leukemia, Cancer Research, JECCR, JCEM, Blood 2015, Oncogene, Leukemia 2016 and Oncotarget. In 2016, Dr. Garg received Ramalingaswami Re-entry Fellow from Department of Biotechnology and joined as an Assistant Professor at Cancer Institute (WIA), Chennai. Also, he received ECRA-SERB-DST grant in 2017. In 2018, Dr. Garg moved to Amity Institute of Molecular Medicine and Stem Cell Research.
