Ivana Vukanac

From 1995 Ivana Vukanac is a Permanent staff researcher in the Institute of Nuclear Sciences “Vinča”. She took part in numerous projects – national and international, in a field of nuclear and radiation physics, environmental and material science. Her PhD thesis entitled “Determination of the specific alpha activity in the environmental samples by semiconductor spectrometry” was defended at Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade, Serbia. From 2011 she is the leader of the national project funded by Serbian competent ministry - Nuclear Physics, methods and application. Her fields of expertise are radionuclide metrology, Gamma-ray, alpha and beta particle detection systems, application of gamma spectrometry in nuclear and atomic data evaluation, development and improvement of direct measurements methods, alpha spectroscopy, radioecology. Dr. Vukanac is the author of more than 100 papers, cited over 170 times.
