Dr. K. Karthikeyan received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jeju National University, Republic of Korea. He is currently working as a contract professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Jeju National University, Republic of Korea. His research works are focused on Raman spectroscopic analysis of low dimensional materials, development of next-generation energy harvesting and storage devices using two-dimensional nanostructures beyond graphene. With a Hirsch index of 36, Dr. K. Karthikeyan’s great research achievements have resulted in three patent applications and more than 90 research articles in ISI International publications. Moreover, he received several prestigious research and teaching awards. His groundbreaking inventions in two dimensional materials have resulted in the development of next-generation nanopaints, high performance energy storage and harvesting devices. Also, he has worked on advanced catalysis (photocatalysis), antibacterial nanocoatings, and nanotherapy of cancer. He was invited as a reviewer in many potential ISI journals such as Carbon, ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, Biomaterials, Materials & Design, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Materials Chemistry and Physics, and so on.
