Yasuaki Hayashi

Yasuaki Hayashi received his B. Eng. and M. Eng. degrees in nuclear engineering and the D. Eng. degree from Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan. He first joined the Institute for Super Materials, ULVAC Japan Ltd., and worked on vacuum engineering and plasma processing. Then he had been with the Department of Electronics and Information Science, Kyoto Institute of Technology, where he was an Associate Professor. He later became a Professor at the Department of Electronics and is now an Emeritus Professor. His research interests include plasma science, fine particle plasmas, nanocarbon technologies and ellipsometry.
