Elena Dantes

Univ. Prof. Dr. Elena Dantes is a well known professor at Faculty of MEDICINE – 'Ovidius' University of Constanta since 1991 and a primary pulmonologist since 1991, with competence in somnology level I and II (2015), special respiratory functional examinations (2004), health management service (2009) and Bronchology (2000). She is also the chief of Clinical Hospital of Pulmonology Constanta. Throughout her career, she held countless leadership positions: medical director, head of department, and county coordinator of PNPSCT. She oversees and mentors resident doctors, young specialists, general practitioners, and nurses. She is involved in research and is a member in over 10 grants and 35 clinical trials. She holds the position of honorary member in various international (ERS, ACCP) and national (SRP and subsections) professional structures. The contribution to the development of Romanian medicine was recognized by awards and distinctions, among which we can list: Diploma of Excellence for the contribution to the development of thoracic endoscopy in Romania, Diploma of opinion leader for exceptional activity in supporting and developing Romanian medicine, Diploma of Excellence with the recognition of the contribution to the development of the pulmonology discipline in Romania, and many others.
