University of Hyderabad India

Dr. CHANDER A awarded with his PhD (in 2018) from University of Hyderabad (India), where he completed his M.Sc in Chemistry (2008-10), and M.Tech in Nanoscience and Technology (2011-2014). After his PhD, he worked as a RA (Research Associate, 2018-19) for more than one year in University of Hyderabad. Later on he moved to MLR Institute of Technology to serve as an Associate Professor for couple of months. Thereafter, he moved to Department of Chemistry, Zhejiang University (China) to work with Prof. Tang Guping as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow. After successful completion of two year at ZJU, he got an offer from Texas A&M University, United States of America for his second post-doc. He has published many papers in reputed international journals, filed patents, and published many book chapters and conference proceedings. His research area includes, polymers (amino-acids, copolymers, biodegradable and biocompatible and stimuli responsive), nanoscience and Technology, biomaterials, materials science (SiO2 NPs, ZnO NPs, AuNPs, AgNPs etc.) for gene/drug delivery and cancer therapeutics. He is very curious to design and develop porous prodrug nanoparticles and capsules for organ targeted nanomedicine delivery, bio-imaging, diagnosis, anti-inflammatory studies. His research mainly focus on current global challenging malignant diseases (cancers) and lung cancer is one of them. He tries to evaluate the underlying mechanism between anticancer nanomedicines and tumor-associated macrophages through the in vitro and in vivo models. Further, he is interested to examine inhibitory effect, tumor metastasis and repolarization of tumor microenvironment, wound healing and cardiovascular regeneration.
