Adriana Marcela Silva Olaya
Adriana Marcela Silva-Olaya is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and coordinator of the Biogeochemical Process Laboratory at the University of the Amazon, Colombia. A major focus of her work involves impact of agricultural management on soil quality and soil C dynamics in the Amazon region. Previous and current research activities include field measurement and modeling of soil C sequestration and greenhouse gas emissions from soils. Currently, Dr. Silva-Olaya is leading a project involving changes in soil microbiome composition and functionality due to transition from forest to pasture in the Colombian Amazon region.
