Dzmitry Shcharbin

Dr. Shcharbin graduated in 1992 from Physical Faculty of Belarusian State University (Minsk, Belarus). In 1999 he obtained Ph.D. in Biophysics, and in 2017 he obtained Habilitated Doctor Diploma and Associated Professor Diploma. Since 1992 he has been working in the Institute of Biophysics and Cellular Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (Minsk, Belarus), starting as Ph.D. Student and finishing as Head of Laboratory of NanoBioTechnology (since 2009). From 2004 until 2008 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Lodz (Poland) within the Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship in frames of the 6th EU Framework Program. His research interests cover nanomedicine: application of nanomaterials in biology and medicine for anticancer drug delivery, nucleic acid delivery, and detoxication and binding of endogenous toxins, as well as studying their biocompatibility.
