Sandeep Narayan Kundu

Sandeep Narayan Kundu, Ph.D., is a geoscientist with over 20 years of experience in industry and academics alike. He last served as a faculty member in the Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. Dr. Kundu worked in various capacities in the energy exploration industry where he was as a geoscientist at multinational corporations such as BHP Billiton, Fugro Surveys, and Reliance Industries. He also performed research at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena (Germany); the Institute of Geoinformatics, Muenster (Germany); and the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (India). Dr. Kundu is a British Council Fellow and has continuously championed the use of geospatial technologies in geoscience and environmental research. He has delivered keynote addresses at international forums, which include the likes of the Institute of Indian Geographers, QAPC, and Praxis. As a SEAPEX (South East Asian Petroleum Exploration Society) Senior Lecturer, he developed the Petroleum Geoscience and Petroleum Exploration programs at the Geography and Civil Engineering Departments at NUS. His primary research interests are in the use of geospatial technologies on natural resource management, which includes environmental change and energy exploration and production.
