Gincy Marina Mathew is working as a researcher at CSIR-NIIST, Kerala. She completed her Ph.D. from the Department of Life Sciences, National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan on the topic 'Microbial consortia hosted in the fungus growing termite Odontotermes formosanus: from microbial ecology to biomimic process for biofuel production”. Previously, she has worked as a faculty at Karpagam University, Coimbatore and MACFAST, Tiruvalla and as a project assistant at CSIR-NIIST. Her field of research is diverse and she has published 14 papers related to different areas like microbial cellulase production from fungi, antioxidant studies of medicinal plants, microbial ecology studies of Odontotermes formosanus and the fungi Termitomyces and Phytoremediation of mercury by Photobacterium and their whole genome analysis
