Dr. Jose Antonio Reales-Calderon. PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the Complutense University of Madrid in Spain. PhD in the proteomic characterization in the human and murine macrophage responses to the opportunistic pathogen C. albicans. The characterization was done using the more novel technologies existent in the proteomic field, obtaining a deep overview of how macrophages respond using intracellular but also extracellular signaling (via exosomes) to fight against the fungal infection. During the PhD did 2 scientific visits in the University of Southern Denmark, Odense (Denmark) and in the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research (MIT), Cambridge (Massachusetts, USA). Currently he is a research fellow in Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN) Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore. He published 11 peer-reviewed research articles, 5 reviews and presented his work to national and international scientific meetings.
