Leila Queiroz Zepka
Dr. Prof. Leila Queiroz Zepka graduated from the Federal University of Rio Grande (in Food Engineering), obtained Master in Engineering and Food Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande and Ph.D. in Food Science from the State University of Campinas. Currently, she is an associate professor at the Department of Food Technology and Science, Federal University of Santa Maria. She has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience. She is a technical and scientific consultant of several companies, agencies, and scientific journals. She has 500 publications/communications which include 15 books, 50 book chapters, 100 original research papers, 320 research communications in international and national conferences and has registered 11 patents. Her research interest includes microalgal biotechnology with an emphasis on biomolecules and natural pigments.
