Hamed Majdooa Algarni

Prof. Hamed Majdooa Algarni is the vice president of King Khalid University (KKU) for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Saudi Arabia. He received his MSc in Physics from KKU in 2007, and his Ph.D. from the University of York, UK, in 2014. Prof. Algarni received the Kathleen Mary Stott Prize for excellence in scientific research for the best Ph.D. from the University of York, in 2013. He received an academic distinction award (three times) from the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Cultural Bureau, London. He specializes in condensed matter physics, nanoscience, and nanotechnology, which includes growth, properties, and applications of nanostructured and biomaterials and optoelectronic devices. He has authored and co-authored more than 300 research articles in highly reputed journals.
