Marco Antonio García Zarate
From July 1980 to July 1981, Dr. García-Zarate completed a technical specialisation in the Optical Laboratory of the Applied Physics Department of the CICESE, with a scholarship from CONACYT. He obtained the title of Industrial Engineer from the Technological Institute of Ensenada in 2010. Dr. García-Zarate became a Master of Science in Arid Zone Ecosystem Management at the Faculty of Science of the UABC, with a scholarship from CONACYT in August 2013, with Honourable Mention. In October 2016 Dr. García-Zarate completed a Doctorate in Environment and Development at the Institute of Oceanographic Research of the UABC, with a scholarship from CONACYT with Honourable Mention He was awarded the Scholar Merit by the UABC Ensenada Baja California Unit in February 2017. Dr. García-Zarate teaches courses and workshops at the undergraduate, master’s and industrial levels. He received his Ph.D. in Environment and Development from the Autonomous University of Baja California, Mexico in October 2016 and has been working at the Centre for Scientific Research and Higher Education in Ensenada, Baja California since 1997.
