Genti Toyokuni
Dr. Genti Toyokuni is an assistant professor at the Department of Geophysics, Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan. He received his BSc (2004), MSc (2006), and DSc (2009) degrees from Kyushu University, Japan. He was a part-time teacher of earth science at the National Institute of Technology, Kurume College, Japan, during 2007–2009, and a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Polar Research, Japan, during 2009–2011. His research interests include polar seismology (cryoseismology), seismic waveform analysis, numerical modeling of seismic wave propagation, and seismic tomography. He is a member of the Greenland Ice Sheet Monitoring Network (GLISN) and has been participating in field observations of the Greenland ice sheet every year since 2011 with other US and Japanese GLISN members.
