RNDr. Milada Vítová, Ph.D. is working in the Institute of Microbiology, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. She has 20 year’s experience in research of algal physiology and biotechnology. She got a 1-year fellowship at SAC, Auchincruive, UK and 2-year fellowship at the University of Vienna, Austria. She has been leading her own group involved in the research of metal metabolism in algae and its environmental aspects. Her scientific fields concern namely: metal transport and metabolism in algae; cell cycle regulation of algae by external factors; phytoremediation. She was a principal investigator of several national grant projects and participated in international research programs. She is a lecturer at University of Applied Sciences, Krems, Austria. Her experimental work yielded in 40 papers, 4 patents and 5 chapters in books.
