Qualifications: MBChB (CUHK), MD (CUHK), FHKAM(O&G), FHKCOG, FRCOG Other Positions: Junior Vice President of HKCOG, Honorary Treasurer of OGSHK Professor LEUNG Tak Yeung is the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as the Director of the Maternal Fetal Medicine of the same unit. His special interest is in perinatal medicine and prenatal screening, diagnosis and therapy of fetal abnormalities, twin pregnancy, preterm delivery, fetal growth restriction, and external cephalic version. He and his unit have successfully launched in Hong Kong the first trimester Down screening, maternal carrier screening for Fragile X disease, newborn expanded metabolic screening, array comparative genomic hybirdisation for prenatal diagnosis, fetoscopic laser therapy for twin-twin transfusion, and radiofrequency for fetal reduction. He also participated in the research and clinical application of maternal circulating cell-free fetal DNA for non-invasive prenatal diagnosis. Professor Leung has published more than 200 papers in international peer reviewed journals. He is also invited into the editorial board of international journals such as American Journal of Perinatology, Pediatric Research (Fetus & Pregnancy Section) and Journal of Maternal Fetal and Neonatal Medicine. His H-index is 25. Professor Leung is currently the Junior Vice President of Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and the Treasurer of Obstetrical and Gynaecolgical Society of Hong Kong. He has strong international and Asian-Pacific connection with appointment in several international professional bodies including: Expert Panel for the revision of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) intrapartum fetal monitoring guidelines (2014-present), Chairman of the Prenatal Maternal Screening Special Interest Group of International Society for Prenatal Diagnosis (2009 – 2013), Foundation Broad member of Global Obstetric Network (GONet; 2009 – 2013), Foundation Secretary of The Chinese Fetal Medicine Foundation.
