Miriam Méndez-del Villar
Miriam Méndez Del Villar, PhD, is a professor and investigator at the University Center of Tonalá at the University of Guadalajara (Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico). She is Chief of the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the same university center. She is a nutritionist and obtained her PhD in Pharmacology in 2017; a year later she started her career as a teacher and researcher. She has published a total of 17 papers in the clinical research field, mainly related to cardiometabolic diseases. She participated as an investigator in 20 clinical trials, which has allowed her to be a member of the Mexican System of Investigators. Also, she has contributed to thesis direction of bachelor and PhD degree students, and has participated in the editing and writing of a number of books and book chapters.
