Dr. Hamim
Dr. Hamim presently works as a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Bogor Agricultural University, Bogor, Indonesia. His subject interest is plant physiology particularly in ecological plant physiology including plant growth ad developments in response to environmental stresses such as drought and heavy metal stresses. He is curious to discover how metal accumulator plants develop mechanisms to sustain their growth under higher metal content in their body, and could these mechanisms be transferred to other plants in order to develop prospective metal-miner plants. Dr. Hamim received his PhD at University of Essex, United Kingdom in 2003. He is well versed in university’s teaching, presentation as well as research during his currier in Bogor Agricultural University until now as addition to his experience in multinational institution such as FAO, IFAD and WFP, when he was appointed as agriculture counsellor in Rome, Italy from 2011-2014. He published several peer-reviewed articles and one chapter in the book, Values in Sustainable Development, published by Routledge.
