María Del Carmen Cuevas-Díaz

María del Carmen Cuevas-Díaz achieved her PhD in Sciences in Ecology and Biotechnology from the Institute of Biotechnology and Ecology at the University of Veracruz and her Master of Science in Environmental Engineering. She has had a PRODEP profile since 2009 and is a member of the National System of Researchers according to the 2008 call. She has published 14 articles in international journals indexed by rigorous arbitration, one national, and three in electronic magazines of diffusion. She has also been the editor of a book by INECC-SEMARNAT and published 4 chapters in various books. Dr. Díaz has provided direction for at least 30 theses at the undergraduate level and participated with 16 works in national and 8 international congresses. She is responsible for environmental technical work for PEMEX-Refining, participation in the SEDESOL project in its environmental part for the municipality of Sotepan, Veracruz, and two projects financed by CONACYT and SEP. Dr. Díaz has collaborated in the Project of the Research Center in Electrochemistry of Querétaro, as well as the Faculty of Engineering in Agricultural Production Systems of the Universidad Veracruzana. She is a representative of the academy before the Cuenca Council of the Coatzacoalcos River and head of the Environmental Research Laboratory. She is now a full-time professor at the Faculty of Chemical Sciences and a representative of the academic body in consolidation before SEP-PRODEP with code CAEC-332 Environmental and Biotechnological Processes with generation lines Biotechnology and Environmental Engineering and Sustainability.
