Zuzana Sevcikova Tomaskova
Zuzana Sevcikova Tomaskova graduated with a degree in Biophysics from Commenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia. In 2009, she obtained her Ph.D. in Biophysics from Pavol Jozef Safarik University, Kosice, Slovakia. She specializes in single-channel current measurement on bilayer lipid membrane and advanced current analysis. She is the recipient of several awards, including a 2010 Young Scientist Award from the Slovak Republic. In 2012, she received a short-term FEBS fellowship and learned the single-channel patch-clamp method at Nencki Institute, Warsaw, Poland. Her work is mainly focused on cardiac mitochondrial chloride channels that play an important role in cardiac arrhythmias. Currently, she is a senior researcher at the Centre of Biosciences, Slovak Academy of Sciences.
